Lia is an older adult who lives alone in her retirement home. Sometimes she fights with getting lonely after her spouse’s death a couple years ago. Lia would love to have more people to reach out to and talk to, and share her life story with.
Goals
To live a satisfying end of life in her retirement home
Find a program where she can meet and talk to other people to reduce loneliness
Frustrations
It is hard to meet younger people to talk to

Aadan Teo “Don’t wish for it, work for it”

Family: Lives in retirement home
Occupation: Retired
Aadan moved to the area that he was born in for his retirement, and lives in a retirement home there. A lot of his family lives in the United States, and he loves keeping in contact with them. However, he struggles a lot with technology and letters are few and far between when compared to how convenient IMS are.
Goals
To keep in contact with his grandson in the US
Bask in the beauty of his hometown

It can be really hard to use technology

Ace Doretta “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain”

Family: Two parents, two siblings
Occupation: Student
Ace is a teenager who lives with his parents and two other siblings, and currently attends his local high school. He is always looking for ways to do good in his community. He spends a lot of his extra time studying foreign languages, and is always interested in practicing those skills.
Goals
To finish high school so he can get a job to help support his family and siblings
To do good in his community and the world
To practice foreign languages
Frustrations
There are not a lot of good easy-entry programs to get into contact with people abroad
